Tendon Transfer for Hammertoe (FDL tendon transfer)

This procedure uses a tendon as a corrective force to help straighten a flexible hammertoe instead of pulling the toe into a bend. The surgeon reroutes a tendon from beneath the toe to a new path along the top of the toe.
